The purpose of travel photography is to create an ideal image of an important location. I challenge the typical photographic formula of these photographs in my project. I also challenge myself as an aspiring travel photographer to look at areas with a different vision. As I put myself in the traveler’s place, I take these subdued digital photographs using in-camera techniques to abstract and minimize the scene. I eliminate the architectural details that portray the difference in most locations. I distort my images and abstract the recognizable scene with lack of clear detail.
